# Engagement / Engagement Score (ES)

## **Engagement Score Overview** <a href="#engagement-score-overview" id="engagement-score-overview"></a>

**The Engagement Score (ES)** is an activity indicator for all users in Metafluence. ES is rewarded for **almost any activity** users have in Metafluence: voice chat, text chat, visiting metahuts, shopping, interaction with the world and users, etc.

ES is **public information** shown in each user’s User Profile.

**ES** value can both increase and decrease. It can be decreased by the moderation team for bad behavior or upon violation of community rules.

### **Calculation, Limits, and Cooldown.** <a href="#calculation-limits-and-cooldown." id="calculation-limits-and-cooldown."></a>

Each activity type has its **calculation** (**how** ES is calculated and **when** the ES is added to players' stats) and **limit** (**max. number** of ES earned at once). In addition, there is a **common cooldown** time between all types of ES-rewarded activity calculations. **Cooldown** **time**: 5 sec.\

‼ These parameters are added to ES mechanics in order to prevent **spamming & overuse of** **grinding.**\
\
\&#xNAN;*Examples*:

* ES for text chat is calculated as 0.1 per character but no more than 20 ES per message (limit). Calculation happens when the message is sent.
* ES for voice chat is calculated as 0.5 per sec, but no more than 200 ES per voice chat session (activated by the “V” key). Calculation happens when the voice chat is deactivated.

All of the user's actions that were rewarded with points are recorded in a special log. Users can check their points log in a separate section in **User Profile**.
